Marti Venturi

Marti Venturi is a character from Life with Derek, played by Canadian actress Ariel Waller. Life with Derek is a Canadian-produced show, which airs on Disney Channel weekends in the U.S., and the Family Channel in Canada.

Marti Venturi is Derek and Edwin's six-year old sister, and Casey and Lizzie's new step-sister. Her father is George Venturi and her step-mother is Nora MacDonald. Her birth mother's name is Abby (unknown last name), who is so far mentioned twice in the show 1) when George mistakenly calls Nora Abby, being the "first thing to pop into mind", and 2) when Derek gets chicken pox George gives Abby a call to see if Marti or Edwin have ever gotten chicken pox. (This is why it is known she and George divorced; they were definitely married ("Abby? As in you're ex-wife?) and she hasn't died (as George telephones her on one occasion).

Marti actually has a nice relationship with Derek, affectionately referring to him Smerek, and his nickname for her is Smarti, and Marti the Munchkin (or the Monster, in a loving way). Even still, she is not so easily swayed as Edwin to Derek's bidding, actually ratting him out every now and then, though without meaning to.She also seems to like Casey in one or more episodes much to Derek's dismay.
