Marstal

Marstal is a town in southern Denmark, located in Ærø municipality on the island of Ærø. Its geographical location is . Marstal has a population of 2,340 (2003) and is the largest town on Ærø.
Its main industries are tourism, small industry and service. The local Maritime Education Institution (Marstal Navigationsskole, MARNAV) is the highest educational institution in the town and educates officers for the merchant fleet and also offers shorter courses.
Marstal is home to one of Northern Europe's largest solar power complexes, using solar power to heat water for the local powerplant.
Marstal is twinned with Eksjö in Sweden and Elsfleth in Germany.
