Marsiya-Khwani OR Soazkhwani is a vocal art or religious reciting to commemorate the martyrdom of Muhammad’s grandson in the Islamic month of Muharram and Safar by Shiite Muslims around the world. It is basically the art of reciting the same poetry either in parts or in its entirety.
