Marsiling MRT Station

Marsiling MRT Station (NS8) is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit station on the North South Line in Singapore. It serves residents living on the western side of Woodlands New Town. Because of the station's proximity to neighbouring Housing and Development Board apartment blocks, a barrier has been built along the tracks at the side of the station facing these apartment blocks so as to ensure the privacy of the residents.

[edit] 2002 accident
A man was killed when he was hit by an MRT train near Marsiling station at about 11.40pm on Nov 30 2002. Mr Tan Ngak Yam, 70, a Malaysian, was walking along the MRT tracks when he was hit by a northbound train about 500 m from the station. [1]
