Marsh lane situated on the outskirts of derbyshire is a small housing estate with around 200 inhabitants .It borders with Eckington .It is renowned for being a quite, peaceful village in which the elderly relax without the hassles of living in eckington which is notorious for crime and disturbances.Marsh lane has two pubs ,a post office, a cummunity centre/church .It is surrounded by fields and woodland. It stands on the top of the hill and looks out over rotherham, bolsover and eckington.
