Marriage is a film directed by Ira Sachs which is scheduled for release in 2007.
The film is based on a John Bingham pulp mystery novel, Five Roundabouts to Heaven. The cast includes Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, Patricia Clarkson and Rachel McAdams; the story is set in an unnamed Pacific Coast city during the 1940s.
According to the director, "It's the story of a middle-aged man who is married, and who falls in love with another woman, but he's such a gentle figure, so he decides that to divorce his wife would humiliate her too much, so it's better to kill her."[1]
Filming of the movie is rumored to be in the West Vancouver area of BC Canada, among other BC coastal areas.
