Marks Tey is a village in Essex located several miles west of Colchester.

The village has a railway station on the Great Eastern Main Line, and is a junction for the Sudbury Branch Line to Sudbury. It is in a collection of villages called the Teys consisting of Great Tey and Little Tey. It's main features include a village hall built in 1993 on the fields intersecting the a12 and a120, these fields have also in the past decade had a childrens playpark and a skateboard park built on them. The skatepark project, started in 2001, mimicked that of the local Colchester council project, wherby council members worked in co-operation with local youths to design and erect a facilty for them. Marks Tey Parish Council chose local youths Ciaran Sainty and Ryan Seymour, after many meetings, to design the park using equipment designed by Playdale. A total of £47000 was spent on the project.
