Mark Patrick Sweeney (born October 26, 1969 in Holliston, Massachusetts) is a utility player who plays for the San Francisco Giants of the National League.
He began his career in 1995. He has also played with the St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, and San Diego Padres all of the National League.
He has played first baseman, outfielder, and designated hitter.
In 1,014 career games, he is a lifetime .260 hitter, with 40 home runs, 232 runs batted in, and 14 stolen bases.
