Mark Strickson

Mark Strickson (born 1961 in Stratford-upon-Avon) is a British actor best known for his role as the character of Vislor Turlough on the cult television series Doctor Who. He studied drama at RADA in London. After he left Doctor Who, he emigrated to Australia where he studied zoology at university. He now lives in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Strickson is now a documentary producer and director, especially of wildlife documentary programmes. He has produced programmes for, amongst others, the Discovery Channel, the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Animal Planet. He was the person who brought Steve Irwin to public attention with such shows as The Ten Deadliest Snakes in the World.[1]
Strickson has reprised the role of Turlough in the Big Finish Productions Doctor Who audio dramas.
