Mark R. Graczynski

Mark R. Graczynski is a publisher of medical journals and of a ranking and abstracting database in Poland.
Graczynski received MD degree in 1987 at Medical University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland. He worked as a medical doctor (anesthesiologist) and university teacher until 1997. In 1994 he received a PhD degree at Medical University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland.
In 1995 he founded a publishing house, Medical Science International (MSI), with its first medical journal, Medical Science Monitor. In the past 10 years this journal has been developed into an international journal recognized by all the major bibliographic indexes like Current Contents, Science Citation Index, Index Medicus / Medline, EMBASE / Excerpta Medica and Index Copernicus, enjoying over 170,000 electronic subscribers. Currently MSI publishes over 20 medical journals.
From 1997 till 1999 he served as an Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Health, Poland.
In 1999 Graczynski established Index Copernicus, a journals ranking and abstracting database. In the last few years Index Copernicus has developed into an integrative scientific information service via patent pending software technologies. The unique methodology of parametrical analysis of scientific journals quality, evaluation of individual professional career and research institutions makes Index Copernicus an important tool for scientists, administrators and universities. Additionally, within the last few years, Graczynski established a United States company, International Scientific Literature, which plans to spearhead novel journal approaches to research data and university database software solutions.
He is a member of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), the New York Academy of Sciences and American Evaluation Association.
