Mark O'Shea

Mark O'Shea (born May 1956, Wolverhampton, England) is a herpetologist, photographer, author, lecturer, and television personality.

Mark O'Shea is best known from his television show on the Animal Planet network called O'Shea's Big Adventure (O'Shea's Dangerous Reptiles in the UK), which chronicles his many field excursions to find reptiles around the world. It was divided in to four series, The Americas, Australasia & Pacific, South & Southeast Asia and Africa & South America. They were aired between 1999 and 2003.

In 1993, O'Shea was envenomated by a Canebrake Rattlesnake and almost died.[1]

He has been the Curator of Reptiles at the West Midland Safari Park since 1987.
