Mark Lowe (Born June 7, 1983 in Houston, Texas) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. He made his Major League debut on July 7, 2006 in relief against the Detroit Tigers, loading the bases before striking out the side. He bats and throws right-handed. His fastball has been clocked as high as 101 mph. He also throws a slider and a circle changeup.
Mark Lowe was placed on the disabled list August 20, 2006 due to tendonitis in the right elbow, and was forced to miss the remainder of the 2006 MLB season. Lowe underwent arthroscopic surgery to debride the right elbow, and is expected to return for spring training in 2007.[1]
