Mark Coughlan

Mark Coughlan (born April 20, 1982) is an Australian rules footballer. He plays in the midfield for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League.
Coughlan attended Wesley College, Perth and was selected in the 2000 National Draft in the 2nd round by Richmond at No. 25 overall. He made his AFL debut in 2001.
In 2003, Coughlan won the Jack Dyer Medal for the Tigers' best and fairest player after a brilliant season in the midfield.
After a rough season in 2004, due to osteitis pubis, Mark Coughlan returned in 2005 for a brilliant season seeing him average more than 22 touches a game and was ranked third in the competition for tackles (123) and sixth for handballs (235).
In 2006, Coughlan has had 53 disposals after the first 3 completed matches of the season.
He has been cited by some as a future captain for the club.
Coughlan injured his ACL in Round 12 against Hawthorn, ending his season.
