Mark John Byrnes (born February 8, 1982 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian football player who plays as a central defender for the Melbourne Victory in the Hyundai A-League.
He was captain of the Australian Under-17 team which reached the final of the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship. He has also won a NSL championship medal with Perth Glory, two years after a short stint with Salzburg in Austria.
