Mark Baxter

Mark Baxter (1951–May 30, 2005) was the director of the Maguire Energy Institute at SMU's Cox School of Business from 2001 until his death.
Born in Galesburg, Illinois, he received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois in 1974. Afterwards, he worked for the Marathon Oil Company, working especially in Russia and in the North Sea.
