Marja Wokke

Marja Wokke (born March 21, 1957) was Holland's leading marathon runner in the 1970s, before her role was taken over by Carla Beurskens. Wokke won the inaugural Rotterdam Marathon on May 23, 1981, clocking 2:43:23. In 1980 she was ranked fifth in the world with her best ever performance (2:32:28), which she ran in Eugene, Oregon.
