Marius De Vries

Marius De Vries is an English music producer. He was born in London in 1961. He has been behind some key albums and singles of recent times, the best known of these being the material on Madonna's Bedtime Stories and Ray of Light albums. He is also a long time collaborator and friend of Björk's. He produced several tracks on Liberty X's album Being Somebody and on Appleton's (Nicole & Natalie) album Everything's Eventual, and worked on David Gray's latest album Life in Slow Motion. Vries has also produced and co-written Darren Hayes' song I Forgive You on his latest album The Tension and The Spark [2004].
De Vries also produced both of Rufus Wainwright's 'Want' albums and appeared on the documentary, 'All I Want', about Wainwright's life. He is documented as saying that one of the songs, 'Go or Go Ahead' was one of the most complex pieces of music he has ever worked on. The song included hundreds of separate parts which De Vries had to fit into one six and a half minute song.
De Vries was also the music director on the 2001 film Moulin Rouge!
