Mario Yedidia (b. November 5, 1984 in San Francisco) is an American film actor.
Yedidia was born and raised in San Francisco to an Israeli Jewish father and a Colombian mother;[1] he has family in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa.[2] Yedidia found fame through a starring role in the film Warriors of Virtue, after working under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola on the movie Jack. He went on to feature in the Disney Channel movie Under Wraps. His performance in this latter work led him to be nominated for a 1997 Youth in Film Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie or Feature Film.
Yedidia found inspiration in the rich culture of his city, which he drew upon as the basis of his performance poetry. This led him to prominence in the Bay Area slam poetry scene, ultimately bringing him to the Youth Speaks Slam Finals. He also devotes himself to progressive political causes, such as the New York Civic Participation Project. Yedidia once spent three months as a grassroots organizer in the state of Florida.
