Mario Schmidt is a Brazilian historian and writer. He wrote the Nova História Crítica (New Critical History) series of school books, published by Editora Nova Geração. The neutrality of his books is disputed; he teaches without impartiality the views of the leftists, demoralizing the right-wing and clearly expressing his opinions and presenting them as the ultimate truth, as he did when talking about ancient Egypt, African countries and the Far East.
