Mario Benavides Soto, or simply Mario Soto (born July 10, 1950), in Santiago, was a Chilean football defender.

Soto is one of the the biggest idols of Chilean Cobreloa. He also played for Chileans CD Magallanes and Unión Española, and Brazilian Palmeiras.
