Mario Aerts

Mario Aerts (born 31 December 1974 Herentals, Belgium) is a professional road bicycle racer since 1997. He has since shifted residence to Molenstede and currently rides for Davitamon-Lotto, and has done so since 2005.
He has been a professional cyclist since 1997 and has, during his career, been in four different teams - Vlaanderen (1996-1997), Lotto (1998-2002), T-Mobile Team (2003-2004) and Davitamon-Lotto (2005-2006). During this time he has, most significantly, raced in 4 Tours de France, 1 Giro d'Italia, and a Vuelta. He has overall won Isbergues in 1996, Circuit Franco Belge in 2001, Giro della Provincia di Lucca in 2001, and La Flèche Wallonne in 2002; he has not won a professional race since.
