Marietta High School (MHS) is a four-year public secondary school in Marietta, Ohio. The school serves students in the Marietta City School District in grades nine through twelve. As of 2006 the approximate enrollment is 1,150. Marietta's mascot is the tiger and its colors are orange and black. The school's current principal is Michael Elliot.
MHS is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and by the State of Ohio Department of Education.
[edit] Exturcuricular Activities
MHS offers 25 clubs/groups, including a wide array of sports teams. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the making of the school year book and a school paper entitled The Original. The Original is a monthly publication printed by The Marietta Times, the city's local daily newspaper. There is also a Web-Design team at the High School called "The Bridge". This team edits The Bridge, the school's website.
