Marietta High School (MHS) is a public high school in the Marietta City Schools system in Marietta, Georgia. The school colors are blue and white and its mascot is a blue devil.

Marietta High School was established in 1893 and currently has over 2100 students in attendance. The current site for MHS was first open to students in the fall of 2001.

Marietta High School was ranked in the top 5% of U.S. high schools according to a Newsweek report in 2006.[1]

Marietta High School provides a wide range of educational opportunities from merit level, advanced placement, and International Baccalaureate courses, to The Youth Apprenticeship program, work study programs, and the Executive Internship program. MHS also offers an ESOL program as well as an Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps program.[2]

The average SAT score was 1057, with an average math score of 530, and verbal score of 526.[3]

A perennial contender on the state level. The team won the boys state championship in 2006 and was runner up in 2005. Also had state championship wins in 2000 and 2001. Have been first or second in their region consistently in recent years. The team is highlighted by junior Trey Charles who runs the 400 m dash, the 300 m intermediate hurdles, the 4x100, the 4x400, and also does the long jump. He won state in the 400, 300h, long jump, and lead the 4x400m team to a victory in 2006. He is considered one of the best high school track and field athletes in Georgia currently.

The Marietta High School basketball team won the state championship in Georgia in 2000 under the leadership of Coach Charlie Hood. In 1999, led by Ezra Williams, Marietta won the state championship. The 2000 team was led by Jazz Ross, Chris Ellis, and Patrick Ewing, Jr. The team was considered one of the best high school teams to ever come out of the state of Georgia. However, they were defeated early in the playoffs that year. The 2006 team is highlighted by J.C. Ward.

The Marietta High School football team won the state championship in 1967 with several district and regional championships between 1921 and 2005. MHS football is played in the historic Northcutt Stadium at the previous Marietta High School location located on Polk Street in Marietta. The 2006 season started off against Lassiter High School. In 2004, Marietta, behind quarterback Brandon Jones, went 10-0 in the regular season and the next season finished 9-1. The team was highlighted by punter Taylor Burnham while the 2006 season was highlighted by quarterback Stanley Jennings and linebacker Eric Patterson.
