Mariano Cañardo

Mariano Cañardo (born May 5, 1906 - died June 21, 1987) was a Spanish professional road racing cyclist. Mariano has won a record seven editions of the Tour of Catalonia (1928, 1929, 1930, 1932, 1935, 1936, 1939).

In 1935, he finished second to Belgian Gustave Deloor in the first Vuelta a España. In 1930, he became the first Spaniard to win the Vuelta al País Vasco after placing third in 1928.

Cañardo won Stage 14 Bourg-Madame to Ax-les-Thermes in the 1937 Tour de France.
