Maria Golovin

Maria Golovin is an opera in three acts by Gian Carlo Menotti to an original English libretto by the composer. First performance: International Exposition Pavilion Theater, Brussels, 1958.
The opera is through-composed and set in a European country a few years after a recent war.
Maria Golovin is not part of the standard operatic repertory. There is a recording of it. It is rarely performed today.
