Maria Agata Szymanowska

Maria Szymanowska was born Marianna Agata WoĊowska in Warsaw on 14 December 1789. She was a pianist and composer of piano pieces, vocal and chamber music. Little is known about her formal training. She composed about a hundred pieces, mostly etudes, preludes, and songs. Many consider her an important forerunner of Chopin.
