Maria (Green Day song)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maria is the first track on the International Superhits! compilation. The song is about a rebellious woman who "shot the President" and eventually disappears. The little interlude at the beginning is an actual interview some woman had with Billie Joe when he was five years old after recording a song called "Look For Love".

Maria was originally recorded as a b-side for Warning: but was later re-recorded for the compilation
