Mari Susan Adkins (born February 15, 1969) is an American horror author from southeastern Kentucky. She is an editor for Apex Science Fiction & Horror Digest. Her poetry and other writing has appeared in the e-zine "Whispers of a Stone Circle", the e-zines associated with the 3Sides Literary Agency, the Stories from the Red Light District anthology of short stories, and in various projects associated with Apex Publications. Midnight and Heir are the first and second novels in the Harlan Vampires series of novels; Mari is hard at work on the third novel in the series, Elders, and has begun work on the fourth book, Daybreak. Mari is a member of the Toasted Cheese online writing community and is an Editor for Apex Science Fiction & Horror Digest.
