Maresana is an hill max elevation over the sea 546 m located north of the city of Bergamo.
the terrotory of Maresana belong to the city or village of: Bergamo,Ponteranica,Torre Boldone and Ranica.

The name Maresana was mantioned for the first time during the XIII century before that was named Monte Torsillio.
In the past the hill was a place reach of wood of chestnut tree that the local farmer saled in the Bergamo market place.

Also today the woods are in good conditions thanks also to the job done by the Parco Regionale dei colli di Bergamo.
Since the 1950s some houses for wealthy Bergamo's inabithants have been built in Maresana hill
