Marcus Crandell

Marcus Crandell (born June 1, 1974, in Charlotte, North Carolina) is a quarterback playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

Crandell played college football at East Carolina University, where he established more than 30 passing and offensive records. He was a candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 1996. He led the Pirates to two post-season bowl appearances, including a 19-13 victory over Stanford in the 1995 Liberty Bowl.

His professional career has included CFL stops at Saskatchewan as well as Edmonton and Calgary, a stint in NFL Europe with the Scottish Claymores, and a season with the XFL's Memphis Maniax. The highlight of his career, thus far, was the 2001 Grey Cup, in which he quarterbacked the Calgary Stampeders to victory, and was named the Grey Cup's Most Outstanding Player.
