Marco Antônio de Oliveira Maciel (born Recife, 21 July 1940) is a Brazilian politician. He's a lawyer and a law school professor. He was a founder of the centre-right PFL (Liberal Front Party), and was twice elected vice-president in the same ticket as center-left social-democratic President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, in 1994 and 1998. He served the entire term of office, from 1 January 1995 to 1 January 2003. He is currently a senator, elected by his home state of Pernambuco.
