Marco Cavagna (1958 - 2005) was an Italian amateur astronomer.
During his career, Cavagna discovered numerous asteroids, operating from an observatory in Sormano. In addition, one asteroid, (10149) Cavagna, has been named after him in 1999.
Cavagna died of a stroke on August 9, 2005. Plans are underway to name a new telescope in Sormano Observatory after him.
