Marcelo Adrián Carrusca (born September 1, 1983 in La Plata, Argentina) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Turkish champions Galatasaray. He is 1.72 m tall and weighs approximately 68 kg. He usually plays as a midfielder or left winger. Before signing for Galatasaray, he previously played for Estudiantes de La Plata and the U-20 Argentina national team. As an U-20 Argentina international, he has scored 2 goals in 16 of his recent appearances and was a member U-20 Argentina team at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.

Signing for Galatasaray

Before signing with the Istanbul giants, he claimed to have turned away offers from other teams and other big european clubs - instead chosing Galatasaray for their European pedigree, recent trophies, and their potential to perform in the biggest stage of all - the UEFA Champions League.[citation needed]

On 27 July 2006, he officially signed for the team, opting for a 5-year contract worth around €1.8 Million.
