Marc Warren (born March 20, 1967 in Northampton, England) is a British actor. He is blond, blue-eyed and 5'9" (175 cm). He went to Kingthorpe Community College where he studied acting.
Warren is best known for his roles of Edward Leeford/Monks in ITV's television adaptation Oliver Twist, Dougie Raymond in the hard hitting British television series The Vice, Albert Blithe in HBO's blockbuster mini-series Band of Brothers as Pvt. Albert Blithe, and as Danny Blue in Hustle. His first television role was in the long running British television series Grange Hill.
In 2007 he will appear as casino-operating villain Tony Crane in the second series of BBC drama Life on Mars. He is also due to appear as the crazed assassin Mr. Teatime, in Sky One's adaptation of Hogfather by Terry Pratchett at Christmas 2006, and as Count Dracula in a new adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic novel, produced by ITV Productions for BBC Wales and also due to air over the 2006 festive season.
Warren's distinctive voice can also be heard on numerous television and radio adverts throughout the UK. Contrary to popular belief, Warren does not provide the voice for the animated gecko in the Geico insurance company commercials, which is in fact voiced by British actor Jake Wood.
