Marc Richards born 8 July 1982 in Wolverhampton is a professional footballer who currently plays as striker for Barnsley.

Marc started his career at Blackburn Rovers making his debut in a Worthington Cup tie against West Ham United in October 2000.

He had loan spells with Crewe Alexandra , Oldham Athletic , Halifax Town and Swansea City before signing on a free transfer to Northampton Town in 2003.

In 2005 he had a loan spell with Rochdale before signing for Barnsley in 2005. He has recently been described as "a young Neil Shipperley" by Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie, as a reason for not re-signing Shipperley from Sheffield United.

He has been capped at England Under-18 and England under-20 level.
