Marc Newson

Marc Newson (1963-) is an Australian-born designer based in London. Objects he has designed include watches, chairs, tables, glassware and hair-care products. He has also designed interiors of restaurants and private jets. In 1999 he designed the O21C Concept Car for the Ford Motor Company. He is of Greek origins on his mother's side.[1]

He has lived in London since 1997.

In 2005, he was selected as one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people of 2005.

Marc has more recently created ranges of clothes for the clothing company G-Star Raw. In late 2003/2004 he designed the Qantas 'Skybed' - an acclaimed business class sleeper seat and is currently heading up the interior design team for the Qantas A380 to be delivered to Qantas in 2007.
