Marble Slab Creamery was founded in October 1983 in Houston, Texas. It has since expanded to include stores across The United States of America, and Canada. It has also opened franchises in Puerto Rico and the United Arab Emirates, for a total of 545 "units."
The business earns its name from the frozen slab of marble used to mix candy or other toppings into the ice cream. The ice cream is made fresh daily in each store. Waffle Cones are also baked fresh daily in each store.
