Mara Scherzinger (born September 23, 1989 in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany) is a German actress. She performed in commercials, TV films, TV series, and cinema movies.

Mara Scherzinger grew up in a small village in the Black Forrest (south-west Germany). Her father, Paulus Straub, was an electronics engineer working in solar energy business. Her mother is Claudia Scherzinger. Mara has a brother named Janis.
About 2000, the family moved to Cologne. Mara's parents now offer sales training, career coaching and similar courses.

In 2002, she got a small role in a commercial for Masterfoods. Her success came with the film "Liebe und Verlangen" (Love and Longing), in which she plays a problematic young pupil.
