Mar Addai II

His Holiness Mar Addai II (born Givarghis, 1 August 1950, although to some sources cite 1946 or 1948) is the Patriarch of the Ancient Church of the East and resides in Baghdad, Iraq. He was elected to the position in February 1970, several months after the death of Mar Thoma Darmo, and consecrated 20 February 1972.
