María Kodama

María Kodama (Buenos Aires, 1945 - ) is an Argentinean writer, translator and literature professor.
She was the daughter of a Japanese architect. She met Jorge Luis Borges in one of the meetings about Icelandic literature. She became his secretary and later his wife on 26 April 1986. She helped him write Breve antología anglosajona (1978) and Atlas (1984) and translate Younger Edda by Snorri Sturlson. She is the president of Fundación Internacional Jorge Luis Borges, which has headquarters in Buenos Aires.
