Marla Yablon (science), Kathy Schene (social studies), Anett Evers & Judy Logan (literature)are the current teachers in the MAP Center. The MAP Center is currently located in Sahuaro Elementary School . Marla Yablon accompanied the fourth, fifth and sixth grade Multi-Age Program (MAP) Center students to Catalina Island Marine Institute October 8 - 10. Students took part in Plankton, Invertebrate, Fish and Shark Labs. They went out on a research boat to gather samples from kelp rafts for the marine lab. Student also had the opportunity to dissect squid and do some snorkeling. They learned about species that live deep in the ocean without light. The MAP center students were able to experience this same type of environment by traveling through the “Creatures of the Night Maze”.
