ęif the white streak was not on Biasutti's map, then we should correct it here. This image is attempting to reproduce Biasutti's map, nothing else. But so does Image:Map of skin color distribution.gif. Ok, from printed publication, which colour appears on Biasutti's original map?? I will take your word for it (if you give title and page of the publication) and insert it. dab (ᛏ) 13:21, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- This map is simply an absurd. I'd like to know where the autor found that Slovenes and Galicians (just to bring two examples) have darker skins than Magyars or Occitans. --Dantadd 20:22, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
The explanation say:
"The 'white' streak across Morocco and Algeria was not present in the original map by Biasutti, but it appeared on later maps and has probably no basis in reality. Biasutti's own map shows an intermediate skin tone value in this band. The map's intended use is in articles dealing with the history of the notion of race, and it should not be used as an up-to-date reference."
In fact, there are many northern africans, specially berbers of the moutains, blondy with light skin.
