Maoz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maoz is a chain of falafel restaurants originating in Amsterdam. The first restaurant opened in 1991 on the Reguliersbreestraat and was a large success. Maoz emphasizes freshness; all of the components are made fresh daily from local ingredients, and there is a salad bar from which to dress one's falafel. Nowadays Maoz also has establishments in Paris, Germany, Uttar Pradesh (India), Spain, London, Philadelphia, and many locations throughout the Netherlands. Maoz originally only sold falafel, but their menu has since been expanded to include pommes frites (belgian-style french fries). The restaurants are still exclusively vegetarian and offer many vegan options.
