Manticore (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Manticore were a heavy metal band formed in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia in the early 1990s.
The band quickly became a favorite on the Sydney thrash metal scene with a violently fast style that bordered on total mayhem on occasion.
The band released a full-length album in 1996 and an EP in 1997. The latter release was met with little support, due to a slight groove entering into their sound.
Manticore were set to perform at the long-running Metal For The Brain festival in 1998 but withdrew, and the and split up shortly after.
