Manpower, Inc. NYSE: MAN is an Employment business and agency headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was established by Elmer Winter and Aaron Scheinfeld in 1948. It was acquired by Blue Arrow of Britain in 1987, but became independent again in 1991. As of 2006, Manpower has 4,400 offices in 72 different countries. Its total sales equal US$14.9 billion worldwide in 2004. It has a total staff of more than 27,000 people, dealing with more than 2.5 million temp-workers each year.
Manpower caters to multinational corparations such as Monsanto, ntl and Danaher subsidiaries.
