Manolo Escobar is a Spanish singer, famous for Y viva España (which sold 6 million of copies). He was born on October 19, 1932 in the village El Ejido de Dalias in the province Almeria. His recordings, which also include songs such as “La Morena de Mi Copla”, “¡Ay Caridad!”, “Madrecita María del Carmen” and “Mi Pequeña Flor”, have been re-issued on numerous nostalgia compilations. Escobar also appeared in movies, among them “Los Guerilleros” (1963). A real Spanish pop culture character, and of course, a crack.
