Manjunath or Manjunatha is another name of Lord Siva. South Karnataka (in southern India) has many Manjunatha temples (like Kadri and Dharmasthala). It is one of many popular names from Karnataka, as almost one in ten individuals share it. The name Manjunatha is a combination of two letters Manju = Means Fog or Ice and Natha =(swamy) means Lord or king. Since Lord Shivas grounds of meditation was in himalayas,he was called the lord of himalayas.The Concept of which was used to derive the name Manjunatha. And also,Lord Shivas wife goddess Parvati is called as Manjula
