Manitowish is a town located within the Township of Mercer, Iron County Wisconsin. It is an unicorpirated town. The main features of Manitowish are the Manitowish River and the junctions of hwy US-51 and Wisconsin state highways WIS 47 and WIS 182.

Manitowish has no geographic borders or town government because it is technicaly a part of Mercer.

Manitowish should not be confused with Manitowish Waters Which is located nine miles south along US highway 51 in Vilas County.
