Manipal Academy of Higher Education is a deemed university in Manipal, Karnataka, India. Over 15,000 students from 51 countries study in the main campus in Manipal as well as sister campuses in Sikkim (India), Nepal and Melaka (Malaysia). Most of the constituent colleges were set up by Dr T. M. A. Pai.

Most of the constituent colleges were set up by Dr T.M.A. Pai, a world famous educationist. Previously, the constituent colleges were under the University of Mangalore. In 1993, the government of India granted "deemed university"-status to MAHE, which saw all its constituent colleges coming under its own wing. Since then the number of colleges has grown.

It is home to one of the best libraries and also to one of the finest Anatomy Museums in the world and it has fully equipped campuses, research centre of national and international repute.
