Attendance at Burgard Elementary School in Manheim, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.54%, essentially the same as the 96.42% scored in the prior year. Students were 73.6% proficient in math, 68.5% proficient in reading.[2]

Attendance at Doe Run Elementary School in Manheim, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.51%, essentially the same as the 96.70% scored in the prior year. Students were 75.9% proficient in math, 73.7% proficient in reading.[3]

Attendance at Stiegel Elementary School in Manheim, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.01%, essentially the same as the 96.82% scored in the prior year. Students were 82.6% proficient in math, 72.5% proficient in reading.[4]

[edit] Manheim Central Soccer

The Manheim Central soccer team had a very successful and historic 2006 season. They went 13-1-1 to win section. The junior varsity team also won the section. They won the first league game in the teams history against Elizabethtown. They lost in the semifinal of leagues to the eventual AAA State Runner-up Manheim Township. They won districts III championship by defeating Hershey 2 to 1 with the winning goal scored in overtime by Sheldon Myer. They won the first three games of state playoffs to get to the final. The winning goal in the semi-final against Southern Lehigh was scored by defender Tyler Wenger with eight seconds left in the game. They lost in the AA state championship game to South Park, the defending champions, 2 to 0.
